| Tips | 1. If the drilled material is too hard (such as stainless steel), use a 3-6mm drill bit to make a small hole first, and then use a large drill bit to expand the hole. 2. The number of rotations of the electric drill for drilling hard objects should be between 80-120, the effect is better. The higher the number of rotations, the harder it is to drill, and the drill bit will be burnt out. 3. Since stainless steel contains more alloy components, its hardness and mechanical properties are higher. When drilling with a hand electric drill, it is necessary to apply sufficient pressure and the power of the motor is large enough. It is easier to use a bench drill. 4. Add coolant or cutting fluid to lower the temperature when drilling when possible, reduce the damage to the drill bit caused by the high temperature generated by rotation, and prolong the service life of the drill bit. 5. When drilling stainless steel, if the drilling diameter is more than 10mm and the thickness of the drilling hole is relatively large, it is best to choose a bench drilling machine with a power supply of 380v and a maximum wattage of 500w or more for processing. 6. For quenched and heat-treated steel, due to its high hardness, it needs to be annealed before processing to avoid drill bit failure or chipping damage. |
